Free Christian Psychic Reading is an exclusive attempt to interpret information through the use of optimum perceptive capabilities. This is usually aided by the use of basic human senses of sound, sight taste, touch and instinct.
This is realized through vision (clairvoyance), feeling (clairsentinece), factual knowing (claircognisance) and hearing (clairaudience) with resultant remarks made in such attempts. This term is usually linked with paranormal-based consultation at a fee in settings such as phones, homes, or psychic sessions. However, Christians are nowadays also engaging in such activities with most of the sessions being provided for free.
Free Christian psychic reading is strongly condemned alongside similar practices in the Bible in Deuteronomy 18:10-13 and Leviticus 20:27. This practice is premised on a belief our departed loved ones or spirits can provide advice and guidance. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 regards these gods or spirits as demons. Therefore, according to God’s word, there is no basis that our departed family can link with us. They are either in heaven if at all they were believers or in hell if they didn’t believe. The puzzle now remains as to how psychics can be able to obtain such precise details if our departed loved ones can’t contact us. It is undisputable that psychics, at times, know things that seem impossible for them to know. However, the Bible explains that they acquire these details from the Devil (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). Moreover, a fortune teller in Acts 16:16-18 was able to see the future until Paul the apostle condemned a spirit out of her. In trying to look good, the Devil seems to be loving and helpful.
The Devil and his demons give psychic information so that he may make a person addicted to spiritism, which God forbids.
Initially, free Christian psychic reading would seem innocent, but it gets addictive soon and people unknowingly allow their lives to be controlled and destroyed by the Devil (1 Peter 5:8). God’s will for us is simple, but powerful. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:5). It is however, interesting to note that some psychics believe in, and subsequently credit God for their works.
Most psychics are common in that they can read someone through their facial expression, clothing, and verbal clues to comprehend their personality. They often build off of what they see and/or hear. For instance, a psychic can catch on a person’s wedding stress through their engagement ring and by their young looks. Some psychics even suggest prayer and seeking guidance in Jesus.
Therefore, free Christian physic reading cannot help us as Christians in our life and future. It cannot solve our love or financial problems. Neither can it assist our family, and friends. Thus, the Bible’s prohibitions against psychic reading come to us to protect us from lies and deception.
The psychics’ claims that they are speaking either to or on behalf of a departed loved one is certainly false. The unbelievers’ spirit departs from the body, goes to a place of great suffering where it is confined until judgment day (Lk 16:19-31; 2 Pet 2:9). Thus, there is real danger in inquiring of information from the spirit realm apart from the guidelines laid out by God. Jesus tells us to obey what He commands so that He will ask the Father to give us another Counselor (the Spirit of truth) to be with us forever (Jn 14:15-17).
